Sales are directly with the seller
Every food order and sale is directly between the seller and customer. Dishfolk is not a party to the food sale and does not hold customer food-payment funds. Stripe may process an optional card charge directly on an eligible seller's connected account.
Sellers are responsible for compliance
Sellers must determine and follow all municipal, provincial, and federal laws, bylaws, permits, licences, inspections, labelling, allergen, food-safety, tax, and insurance requirements that apply to their location, kitchen, and products.
No verification or endorsement
A published Dishfolk page does not mean that the seller, kitchen, product, or process has been inspected, approved, licensed, certified, or endorsed by Dishfolk or any public authority. Customers should ask the seller directly about ingredients, allergens, preparation, and applicable permissions.
Food, allergens, and fulfilment
Seller-entered descriptions and allergen information may be incomplete, and cross-contact can occur. Dishfolk does not prepare, inspect, store, transport, or deliver food and cannot guarantee food quality, safety, ingredients, allergen controls, pickup, or delivery. Customers with allergies or dietary requirements should contact the seller before ordering.
Disputes and refunds
The seller is responsible for seller conduct, order changes, food payments, refunds, charge disputes, missed pickup or delivery, illness, and other issues arising from the food order. Customers should first contact the seller using the details on the seller’s page or order status link.
